Hello, I’m Anne – Welcome!

I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. Whether you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or just not quite yourself, or if you want to work on your relationship, I want you to know that you’re not alone—and there is hope. Take your time exploring my website to see if I’m the right counsellor for you

A Little About Me and How Counselling Can Help You

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent many years working with children and young people with severe learning disabilities in Bristol. After that, I shifted gears and worked as a lawyer for over 20 years. But through my own personal journey—one marked by struggles with low self-esteem and anxiety—I found healing through counselling. That experience changed my life, inspiring me to retrain as a therapist and open my own practice in 2019.

Now, I help both young people and adults across the UK, offering a safe, supportive space where you can work through your feelings, understand yourself more deeply, and build the confidence to be your true, authentic self.

What Counselling Can Do for You

Counselling isn’t just about managing anxiety or low self-esteem—it’s about understanding yourself on a deeper level and learning how to embrace who you truly are. Imagine what life could look like if you weren’t weighed down by self-doubt or overwhelmed by social anxiety. Imagine feeling comfortable in your own skin, enjoying healthier relationships, and stepping into a life where you actually like yourself.

I also specialise in working with people who have ADHD, helping them navigate the unique challenges that come with it. Whether it’s managing overwhelm, staying organised, or improving focus and self-esteem, I’m here to provide you with practical tools and compassionate support. Living with ADHD can feel chaotic, but together, we can find ways to make your life feel more manageable and fulfilling.

It might sound far off, but I’m here to tell you that it’s possible. And you don’t have to do it alone.

Relationship Therapy

In addition to working with individuals, I have recently begun working with couples, building on my experience supporting people with ADHD and anxiety. Many of the conversations in my work naturally centre around relationships, so expanding into couples therapy has felt like a natural progression for me.

Having personal experience of ADHD, I understand the unique dynamics it can bring into relationships—both the challenges and the strengths. ADHD can affect communication, emotional regulation, and connection, which is why I was inspired to offer couples therapy that is supportive, practical, and tailored to both partners. Whether ADHD is a recent discovery in your relationship or something you’ve been navigating for years, I can help you build understanding, strengthen communication, and create strategies that work for both of you.

Why Work With Me?

My counselling practice is built on compassion, understanding, and a belief that everyone deserves to feel confident in who they are, and to have connection and positive communication in their relationships. I offer a non-judgmental, affirmative space, particularly for those in the LGBTQI+ community, where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of being misunderstood.

Whether you're looking for ongoing support or want to tackle a specific issue in a focused Single Session Therapy, I’m here to help. We’ll work together at your pace, finding the right path to move you toward the life you want to live.
