Counselling for You

As parents, we can feel rejected and judged by our teenagers

as they reach for independence from us.

Being a parent can be hard and sometimes you can feel you’re not sure just how much more you can cope with, whilst also worrying about your teenager and their wellbeing and their future.

Counselling for Parents is a space for you to be able to talk about the changes and difficulties in your relationship with your child that come as they grow up, and for us to look at ways that you can manage how you’re feeling alongside the difficult emotions and behaviours that your teenager is expressing.

I also work with parents of adult children, helping them to find a way forward in their sometimes fractured relationships with their children.

One-to-one therapy provides you with a safe and confidential space to tell your story and to explore how things are for you and to enable you to understand yourself and the relationships you have outside of therapy.

Whatever your relationship struggles are with your child, I can help you navigate them.

If I could give you one piece of advice before you send your child off to counselling, it would be to get counselling for you first.

The impact on our children from parents having good therapy is priceless.
